I write under several pseudonyms.

As Allison Rushby, I write junior fiction and Middle Grade fiction. As A.J. Rushby I write Young Adult fiction. And as A. Rushby I write fiction for adults. I have been published for over twenty-five years and entirely blame my mother (author Pamela Rushby) for this.

What do I write about? Well, I write about all sorts of things.

Sometimes it’s bewitched anatomical wax models.  Sometimes it’s Victorian death photography and installation art. Sometimes it’s sisters who can wish, wonderfully odd authoress aunts, haunted houses, cursed lockets, doppelgängers and kittens who have tea parties at midnight.

I do all of this fuelled by copious cups of tea. 

When I’m not writing, you can find me on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. You can also find me adminning (surely that’s a word?!) over at Your Kid’s Next Read, the fabulous Facebook group all about putting the perfect book into little readers’ hands.
